Week 4

Week 4 is coming to an end. It was a busy week with four assignments which seemed a lot at the beginning, but interesting. The reading assignments familiarize me with experts' in this field ideas, new web sites. Reading of those articles encourages me to implement them in my work. Of course, impossible to use all of them because of the abundance, but even if I try, it will be encouragement for me and my co teachers, they are also eager to know how to make classes colorful.

  1. Dear Marine,
I also found this week loaded, it takes time to digest the information from the reading, read and participate in the discussion and complete our assignment, but as you said it is worthwhile "learning by doing".

  2. I agree with both of you: this week was a lot of work. Very useful, of course, but really time-consuming. As I write this, I still have my second post in the discussion thread to finish.
Marine, I like the way you talk about making classes "colorful". It's a great adjective to describe what I try to do, too. I'd like to think that "colorful" is the opposite of "boring".

  3. Dear marine,
No matter how tiring it is I'm sure that at the end of each week we always say "it worthed the effort" and rest on out laurels.

Like you, I'm always trying to share what I learn with my co teachers. I strongly believe in the spreading of knowledge. In this way we can learn from each other and benefit. After all the teaching/ learning process is about sharing.
    Keep up the good work.

  4. Hi ladies,(no gender discrimination implied-only women have posted so far, that's why)

So it was not just me. Everybody has found this week hectic.
But, yes as Angela said, we all can say it was worth it.

And for me also, the most interesting thing about this course is the sharing of knowledge. I mean we are a set of teachers, coming from different parts of the world, with different backgrounds and teaching equally different sets of students and we discuss all these issues in this class. Imagine the depth and breadth of the knowledge we acquire, just from that!!!. Once the course content is added to that, all I can say is " we are so very lucky".

So, yes, keep up the good work!!!!

    Best

    Umesha
